ANDY AND DIANE - THE WEDDING
Its been a tough year for brides and grooms with everything going on. Would weddings still be able to go ahead in these uncertain times?
Diane and Andy we're only looking for a small ceremony with their closest family members, so a micro wedding was just up their street. The held their ceremony at a very local venue for me. Being only a mile down the road, Barnsley Town Hall really is on my doorstep. Its an absolutely stunning building inside and out and has had a lot of renovations over the past few years to really bring it into the 21st Century.Â
It was an early start at Barnsley Town Hall, with Diane and Andy having an 11am wedding ceremony. The weather couldn't have been better. With the cold March and April we've had this year, I wasn't holding my breath. But we had a glorious day and I didn't even need my cardi.
A few of Andy's mates turned up with some protester signs, just to add a bit of humour to the day. Neither Bride or Groom were aware until they turned up, so it settled both of them down and took their minds off the wedding ceremony.
The Wedding Ceremony was lovely and all the staff we're great with dealing with Covid-19 restrictions. They had a great one way system in place which meant 2 weddings would never cross paths. After Andy and Diane said their 'I Do's', I left them to mingle with their guests for a while as I took natural Photographs of them outside Barnsley Town Hall.
Once they were ready, we gathered outside the front of the building for some formal wedding photography.Â
Andy and Diane's family were great to work with. No hassle, no complaints. It can get a little tedious, standing and smiling all day, so I try to make it as relaxed as possible and not drag it out too much.
Barnsley Town hall looked stunning from the front of the building. You are always guaranteed some awesome wedding photographs with the amount of top locations. Either the staircase inside the Town hall or the steps out front, even the fountains (when they're turned on).
To finish my coverage off, we headed to the back of Barnsley Town Hall, where there is a small park for some more intimate wedding photos.
I knew both Andy and Diane didn't want to spend too long in front of the camera, so we grabbed a few natural shots of them walking and chatting as well as a great confetti shot while they we're sat on one of the parks benches.
All in all it was a great wedding day at Barnsley Town Hall. I'm sure both Diane and Andy loved my style of photography and they can look forward to some of the wedding photos that are on their way.
