THE WEDDING TRENDS THAT ARE IN FOR 2023
In 2023 event planners are expecting much of the same from last years wedding trends.
Wedding Hashtags are starting to be dropped and their days are numbered according to some. Whereas elopements are getting more and more popular if 2022 has anything to go by.
Here are the wedding trends that you might want to consider in 2023, and just a few that you might want to avoid.
Whats in....
Â
Midday Ceremonies
The most memorable part of the wedding is often the after party. But the idea of a full on wedding day puts most people off, and want to kick off their heels by 9pm.
Make sure you and your guests are ready to go all night and into the early hours by having a midday ceremony. Having an earlier ceremony means you can rest up after your wedding breakfast and then have a full tank of gas when your evening party starts.
In the early 1900s, it was common to have a morning ceremony and then your reception in the evening. Many well known marriages did it this way, including Charles and Diana as well as William and Kate.
Wedding days are usually full on from start to finish, so why wouldn't you want a quick power nap in the afternoon to make sure you can enjoy your evening party?Â
Over The Top Cakes and Toppers
Dramatic, Huge, Over the top wedding cakes are all the rage for 2023. Couples are embracing the fact that they can stylise their cake to match their wedding colours and design.
The customisation options for cakes and cake toppers are endless, and it gives you a chance to get personal with it.
Â
Intimate Ceremonies
If there's one thing we noticed from 2022, its got to be smaller celebrations. Couples seem to be opting for smaller and more private ceremonies. We gather that It keeps anxiety levels under control, rather than the thought of having to professing your love in front of hundreds of people.
Wild Welcome Parties
More and more couples are opting for destination weddings which means you need to entertain your guests over a couple of days.
Beach football followed by a BBQ lunch with DJ, gathering your guests for a daytime event is becoming more popular this year.Â
These event days are a great way as an icebreaker for some guests to bond before your big day.
Â
Dramatic Ceilings
2022 was a year for couples going for dramatic ceiling installations, whether it be floral, lighting or draping.Â
Experts think this trend will continue into 2023 and beyond.
Groomswear
Last year saw a rise in Grooms getting a little more adventurous when it comes to their attire. From velvet blazers to coloured suits and tuxedos.
This is one trend that we expect to continue into 2023.
Â
Mismatched Bridesmaid Dresses
Yet another trend that really took off in 2022 and looks like will continue to be a hit this year. Mismatched Bridesmaids dresses saw a rise probably due to the fact it allows your bridal party to wear what they wanted (within reason of course).
Not everyone likes being told what they have to wear, and why would we? With a massive range of body types and shapes, this option means you might get a happier bunch of bridesmaids.
Whats Out?...
Â
Wedding Hashtags
Wedding Hashtags are so 2019 and is now considered quite a dated. Instagram is all about stories this year and story hashtags disappear after 24 hours.
Â
Fireworks
Its the one thing that we've seen dying off over the past 5 years or so. Firework displays are becoming less popular as each year passes. Our opinion, Save money and save the planet.
