You've planned your special day to perfection and now it's finally here. Now it's time to get Married!!
What's the one thing that all your family and friends have told you??....That's it, 'the day will go past like a flash'.
They're right. You have that much going on during your big day that it'll be over before you know it. It's quite easy to get caught up in all the planning and the emotions that come tied to a wedding day, that you might forget some of the more important things and leave you with post wedding regrets.
Luckily enough, we've put together this helpful guide of things you can do before your big day, so it can be a day to remember.
Â
PUT SOMEONE ELSE IN CHARGE
This is one for the top of your list. No matter how in control you think you are, the last thing you want on your wedding day, is having to be organising things on the morning of your wedding. So whether its your cake maker that's not turned up, or one of your family that's forgot to pick up the button holes, make sure you have someone in charge that can take a lot of the pressure off you and ease some of the stress.
Make sure they have a list of all your suppliers and their contact details (just in case) and can handle this sort of pressure, so that you can relax on the day.Â
WEDDING DAY SURVIVAL KIT
Make sure you've packed all the important things into a bag, prior to the wedding day. We've listed items brides tend to need access to during the day of their wedding.
- Make up (for top ups)
- Tissues and wipes
- Hair pins
- phone charger
- Emergency Cash
- Umbrella
- Safety Pins
We're sure there's plenty more and if you can think of any, don't leave it until the big day to sort it.
Â
TAKE YOUR TIME
It's easy to get carried away with the day and get caught up in the emotion. But this is your day, take your time and enjoy it.
It's one of the most important things we tell our couples. Take your time as you walk down the aisle. It lets us photographers get an extra 10 shots of you and increases the chances of getting the perfect aisle shot. Same with the first kiss. A little peck means we only get one shot of it. Forget you've got 100 guests watching you and go to town with it.
*BONUS TIP*...Turn slightly, so you're side on to your photographer, then we get a great shot of you when you have your first kiss.

STAY HYDRATED
With everything going on during your wedding day, it's easy to forget about keeping your self hydrated. Pair that with the fact you'll be drinking wine and champagne and you could end up with a nasty headache.Â
It's important you keep hydrated during the day, especially if you're getting married in the summer, or abroad. So make sure you keep drinking.....H2o that is.
Â
FORGET ABOUT THE CAMERA
It's easier said than done, but when you've got multiple cameras in your face, just try to ignore them. This is another top tip we always tell our couples before the day. If we don't ask for you to look at the camera, then don't. It's much more natural if you get caught up in the moment with your guests and you're photos will look 100 times better too.
The main time for this is during a confetti shot. Be in the moment with your guests, and remember......TAKE...YOUR...TIME

HAVE A GOOD BREAKFAST
You might not feel like eating much on the morning of your wedding, but this really is a must. From getting your make up and hair done, to sitting down for your meal, you may have a good 6 hour period. This isn't great if you just had a couple of crackers for your breakfast and it may even affect your mood for your formal photos.
Try and have a decent breakfast before the nerves start to hit you. If all else fails, let one of your bridesmaids carry some protein bars in her handbag. This way, you've got something to fill you up while you have your formals.
Â
BE PREPARED FOR THE WORST
We don't always have the best weather here in the UK, so it's always best to be prepared for the worst. If its raining, what will you do about photos??? If your venue is mainly grass are you going to want to walk over it with your heels on???
Always be prepared with a rainy day survival kit. Couple of umbrellas, Change of shoes (even if they're walking boots, your dress should hide them for your photos), Some blankets (to either sit on, or lay your dress on). Your photographer may have some of these, but it can't hurt to be prepared.
WHO'S GOT THE RINGS?
With everything else that's going on during the morning, its so easy to leave the rings at home.
Its usually the best mans job to carry these. So before you leave the house, just have a final check that he's got them.
Â
LAST MINUTE SPEECH
We recommend you write a speech, or at least what you're planning on saying, down on paper BEFORE your day. With mobile phones being in everyone's pockets, people have turned to having their speeches on there. The problems arise when your battery fails on you, or you accidentally deleted it (which has happened).
Do it the old fashioned way and get a pen and paper. Google is a great way of getting some ideas if you are struggling with writers block.
Â
BREAK IN THOSE SHOES
The last thing you want on the day of your wedding is aching feet. In most cases, you'll have brand new footwear for the day. Its best to break them in before the wedding.Â
Just wear them around the house for maybe a week before the wedding. If you need to make any adjustments, like insoles, etc, then you've got time to sort it.
